Art exhibition featuring wooden sculptures opens in Bahrain

An art exhibition featuring sculptures made out of tree trunks and branches has opened in Bahrain.

Fuad Al Binfalah’s Tree Whispering will be hosted at the Akkas Gallery until Thursday (October 31).

The Bahraini artist, who was born in Muharraq, works primarily with wood, bronze and marble for his creations.

He transforms the materials into intricate shapes and interconnected forms before polishing them.

Binfalah has exhibited his work across the world since holding his first showcase in 2007, including in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and New York.

You can visit the exhibition at Akkas Gallery, Muqaba, from 10am until 6pm until Thursday.

If you can’t make it down in time to catch the exhibition, some of Binfalah’s work is dotted around Manama.

You can find some of his large-scale marble sculptures in the Bahrain Bay area.

Until Oct 31 Sat-Thu 10am-6pm. Akkas Gallery, Road 1331, Isa Town (1769 0217).
