Aga Khan Award for Architecture exhibition to open this month

The Aga Khan Award for Architecture exhibition is set to open at the Shaikh Ebrahim Centre for Culture and Research this month.

The showcase will give an overview of the 20 shortlisted projects, including the Bahrain Pearling Path, which was one of six winners revealed in September.

The opening of the exhibition, which will be held in the House of Architectural Heritage, will take place between 7pm and 9pm on Monday November 25.

You’ll be able to visit the exhibition from Tuesday November 26 until February 25, 2020.

Other projects featured come from all over the world, including China and Senegal.

The Architectural Heritage House in Muharraq is home to architect John Yarwood’s drawings and photographs from his stay in the city between 1983 and 1985.

If you’re looking for more exhibitions to check out in the Kingdom, a retrospective for Dr Rashid Diab is coming to the Bahrain National Museum.

Fuad Al Binfalah’s wooden sculptures are also on display at the Akkas Gallery, and an exhibition on climate change is currently being held at Studio 244.
Free. Sat-Thu 9am-1pm, 4pm-7pm. House of Architectural Heritage, Lane 918, Muharraq (1732 2549).
