Free night of Italian opera coming to Bahrain National Museum

If you’re well-versed in your Italian operas and know your La Boheme from your Barber of Seville, we’ve got the perfect night for you.

Next month, Bahrain National Museum will be hosting an authentic Italian musical evening with renowned music academy Accademia Chigiana.

The five great figures between the 19th and 20th centuries – Gioachino Rossini, Vincenzo Bellini, Gaetano Donizetti, Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini – will all be represented throughout the evening, as will Ruggero Leoncavallo.

The night, which kicks off at 7pm on December 2, will bring together tunes of melancholy, comedy and drama.

Organised by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy, the night will be entirely free.
