Annual book sale returns to Bahrain next week

Book worms, get excited – the Al Ayam Cultural Fair will be back in Bahrain from next week.

The annual book sale, now in its 26th year, will see more than 200 Arab and international publishing houses display 150,000 different titles.

Held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre, there’ll be plenty of activities for you to get involved with between December 26 and January 4.

It is hoped that the festival will encourage people living in the Kingdom to read more and continue their education.

Entry is free, and the book sale will run from 9am to 1pm and then from 4pm to 10pm every day.

If you’re looking for more things to do next week, don’t forget to check out Water Garden City’s Revive Festival.

The ten-day event will see 200 young Bahraini business owners running retail stalls and food and beverage outlets for you to enjoy.

You’ll also get to listen to live performances from local artists and DJs, and watch murals and artworks being created.
Free. Thu Dec 26-Sat Jan 4 9am-1pm, 4pm-10pm. Hall One, Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre, Sanabis (1761 7734).
