Bahrain calls for submissions for online exhibition

If you’ve already exhausted all the virtual museum tours on offer across the globe, don’t worry, because a new online exhibition is on the way in Bahrain.

The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities is calling for submissions for its new exhibition which will showcase works under two main themes.

The first is #MuseumMonday, which highlights artefacts and collections on display at Bahrain’s museums, while the second is #TouristTuesday, which promotes cultural sites across the Kingdom.

BACA is calling for artists to submit one artwork, which can be a painting, sculpture, drawing or sketch, on its website here before April 15.

There are five age group categories for works, which are three to five years old, six to ten years old, 11 to 15 years old, 16 to 24 years old and 25 and above.

A committee will then decide which artists and works will be included in the exhibition.

If you’re looking for more cultural things to do while at home, don’t forget to check out our Time In section.

There you’ll find concerts you can watch online, motivational TED talks and great audiobooks to listen to.
