Bahrain to launch Muharraq photography exhibition

Bahrain is set to launch an photography exhibition featuring pictures taken in Muharraq - and is calling for your help.

Both amateur and professional photographers are encouraged to submit their best shots for the online showcase.
Inspired by Muharraq will highlight the architectural scenes and skyscape of the city.

According to the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, “The magnificent structures are not merely an imprint of the significant past but also an inspiration.

“As a center of trade, Muharraq has a multicultural character where different nations interact and live together as a part of the local community for centuries.

“The development of the city intensively relies on the strong partnership of heritage & creativity.

“These two pillars strengthen the identity and belonging of the community while helping face the challenges of the future in an imaginative way.”

The online exhibition will be permanently available on the Studio 244 subpage on the BACA website.

You can find more information about how to take part on the BACA website here.

The deadline for submissions is May 30.
