Virtual exhibition launches in Bahrain

It can be hard to put into words the way the coronavirus pandemic has affected us - and a group of artists have turned to their canvases to express it.

The Bahrain Society for Fine Arts has teamed up with the American Embassy in Bahrain for a virtual exhibition entitled Creativity in the Age of the Coronavirus.

All of the pieces in the showcase have been created during the pandemic and have been inspired by it.

Writing about the exhibition, the Bahrain Society for Fine Arts said, “Artworks [produced]] by artists during the period of quarantine and social distancing highlight the importance of creativity and art in facing the difficulties of life.

“It also highlights the message that there are no limits nor restrictions that prevent art to be portrayed as a message of peace in every time and place.”
