Applications open for Bahrain Fine Arts Exhibition

Do you think you’re the next Damien Hirst or David Hockney? Got the next Starry Night or American Gothic hiding in your studio?

Well, you could be in with a chance of winning BHD6,000 and scooping the prestigious AlDanah Award.

In January, the annual Fine Arts Exhibition will be returning for its 46th edition, and the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities is now calling for online applications.

Bahraini nationals or residents over the age of 18 can submit plans for an installation or a collection of three artworks for consideration from now until Sunday December 15.

If accepted, your artwork will be included in the exhibition next year.

The overall winner will receive the AlDanah Award and BHD6,000, while whoever comes in second place will host their own solo exhibition at the Art Centre with all expenses paid.

Finally, the third place winner will receive a two weeks residency with all expenses paid.
You can find out more about the competition by visiting the BACA website here, emailing or calling 1729 8745.
