Set at one of the oldest and most iconic historical landmarks in Bahrain, Manama Retro will be a nostalgic journey across time – taking us back to the old Bahrain.
From fabulous performances, classic games and activities, a classic car show, exhibitions, and more, the good old days will come alive with music, flavours, and groovy vibes.
The Manama Retro activities will take place across multiple locations within the Souq.
Did you know that there are still shopping centres open today that existed back then? And you bet you can expect some of the coolest throwbacks here.
Want to get a bird’s eye view of all the action?
Some of the buildings will provide stunning views of the market and city where you can enjoy the fabulous weather while watching the vibrant activities taking place.
Golden oldies
Expect classic tunes and its enchanting melodies to echo across the Souq at the nostalgic Manama Retro. The music that has defined several generations in the Kingdom is definitely not one to miss.
Vintage fashion
As ever, the Manama Souq has been a popular vibrant place to shop for all kinds of traditional Bahraini clothing, accessories, and jewellery. Expect brilliant shops and exhibits showcasing traditional Bahraini attire.
Classic cars
You’ll be able to catch a glimpse of the rides back in the day at Manama Retro’s vintage car display near the Yateem Centre within Bab Al Bahrain. Cameras at the ready.

If there’s anything we love about the old days, it’s the simple pleasures that brought in lots of laughter. There will be tons of classic games at Manama Retro, including the popular carrom.
Traditional cuisine
A celebration is not complete without food, right? Luckily, Bahrain has a vibrant list of traditional food from the halwa and karak to the machboos and laban. Expect tons of traditional food at Manama Retro that you just *have* to dig into.
