If you’re looking for a chilled-out way to round off your weekend, head down to La Fontaine Centre of Contemporary Art for a bit of jazz this Saturday and Sunday.
US singing sensation Karen Edwards, who has worked with Stevie Wonder and Tony Bennett, among others, will be taking to the stage on Saturday.
Between Grammy nominations, Karen fits in a busy career as a singer and an actor back in the US, so we’re lucky to have her in town. She will be joined in Bahrain by Poland’s finest, Jarek Smietana.
Also performing, this time on Sunday, will be Saskia Laroo. Saskia, hailed by American public and press at large as “Lady Miles of Europe”, is one of the few women trumpet stylists and a performance from her is always a treat.
If this sounds like your thing for the weekend, get booked up. Log onto www.gulfjazzfest.com for more information.
