Friday is undoubtedly the biggest night out of the week in Bahrain, meaning bars have no trouble attracting customers.
Drink prices and entry fees shoot up, and you’ll have trouble getting into some restaurants and lounges without booking a table.
But if you’re looking for a spot for a few tipples post-brunch, don’t despair – there are still lots of happy hours you can head to at the weekend.
Read on for our guide to all the happy hours in Bahrain on Fridays – you’ll be surprised at how many deals you can still get.
BULLS Lounge
BULLS Lounge opened in September 2019 and is already offering up deals left right and centre. From Saturday to Wednesday you can enjoy 45 percent off selected beverages between 11am and 10pm, and on Thursdays and Fridays you can get the same deal until 9pm.

Bushido
Bushido is a great spot for picking up authentic Japanese food in Bahrain, but that’s not the only reason to head to this spot in Seef: it also has an amazing lounge area and fantastic mixed drinks. Head here between 6pm and 8.45pm every day for 50 percent off selected beverages.

Champs
If you’re looking for somewhere to watch the game, look no further. Sports bar Champs has ten plasma screens and three projectors, so you won’t miss a second of the action. Between noon and 9pm you can get 25 percent off all drinks – what more could you want?

Chaopraya Western Club Lounge
The main reason to head to the Chaopraya Western Club Lounge is undoubtedly the disco dancefloor, and we think 20 percent off house beverages between 5pm and 9pm is certainly a good reason for a boogie. If you’re after a quieter evening, there are also pool tables you can use, too.

This is one of Bahrain’s most popular night spots, and it’s not just because of its proximity to the US naval base. Between noon and 9pm every day you can get 30 percent off all drinks.

Crossroads attracts a decent crowd thanks to its live band nights, but the buy one get one free deal on drinks between 11am and 5pm every day can’t hurt, too.

This spot, named after American folk hero Davy Crockett, is filled with US Navy staff most nights. Head here between noon and 8pm and you’ll get 20 percent off drinks.

Live music is the main draw of Downtown Bar, with different bands playing throughout the week. Pick up some Tex-Mex snacks and enjoy 30 percent off selected beverages between 4pm and 8pm every day.

There’s no chance of an early night at FIZZ Lounge thanks to its drink deals. Head here after a late finish at work and one quick drink will turn into three in the blink of an eye.

Although this restaurant is called Irish Village, you’ll find food from all over the world on the menu. Between noon and 10pm, hops start from BHD2, and mixed drinks and grape cost between BHD2 and BHD2.5.

Your night will be more than (o)K if you head down to the K Lounge in Juffair. Between 5pm and 7pm you can get 30 percent off selected beverages.

JJ’s Irish Restaurant
This well-established bar has the homely feel of any pub you might find back in Ireland. Head here between noon and 7pm Saturday through Thursday for BHD2.3 house beverages and BHD2.5 hops. On Fridays, the deal lasts from noon till 5pm.

Lanterns
This restaurant serves up fantastic Indian food – and deals. Selected beverages are BHD2.9 from 3pm till 7pm. You can also head upstairs to LNT Gastropub when you’re finished.

Meisei is the only establishment on this list to actually stick to the meaning of happy hour (singular), offering up buy one get one free on drinks between 7pm and 8pm. But we can forgive it thanks to the beautiful rooftop bar area, which is one of our favourites in Bahrain.

McGettigan’s is extremely popular across the Middle East, and it’s not difficult to see why. Enjoy 20 percent off house beverages every day from 3pm till 8pm.
