Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay
With the exception of the World Trade Centre, the Four Seasons hotel in Bahrain Bay is surely the most iconic building in the Manama skyline. Every room offers incredible views over the city, but if that’s not enough, head up to the Blue Moon Lounge by Wolfgang Puck on the 50th floor. If you’re after a hotel that has it all, head to the Gulf Hotel. Businessmen head here for the meetings rooms, stressed out folks stay here for the spa, and everyone else visits for the restaurants. There are ten inside the hotel, including Thai and Iranian food, and the hotel boasts Rasoi by Vineet, the first fine dining restaurant run by a Michelin-starred chef in Bahrain.

Jumeirah Royal Saray
Fancy some peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the city without travelling miles? Head to the Jumeirah Royal Saray. This hotel complex has a gorgeous private beach and plenty of eateries – including the fantastic Japanese restaurant Bushido – to keep you entertained.

The Merchant House
This hotel has just 46 suites, and you’ll be gutted if you miss the chance to stay here. The owners of Merchant House converted an old building and kept a number of original features, but added in hundreds of paintings and photographs throughout the lobby, corridors and even the rooms, creating a very unique space. The real highlight here is definitely the rooftop restaurant and pool, which will be perfect for the winter months.

The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain
The Ritz-Carlton is yet another 5* hotel that you just won’t want to leave thanks to its range of restaurants, including the scrumptious Cantina Kahlo, which offers up Mexican food, and the exclusive La Table Krug by Y which seats just 16 people a night.
