Mama Shelter is set to open a hotel in Bahrain’s Financial Harbour in 2020

Mama Shelter is set to open its first hotel in Bahrain in 2020 at a seafront location in the Kingdom’s Financial Harbour area.

The 160-room hotel will include a new restaurant as well as a rooftop pool offering stunning sea views.

Accor, an augmented hospitality group, and GFH Financial Group will manage the brand in the Kingdom.

While details of the rates have not yet been announced, Mama Shelter has said in a statement it hopes the hotel will be a “well-priced option”.

Each of the rooms is set to come with a king size bed and free films. Guests will also have a selection of Mama Shelter’s skincare range which were designed in partnership with French skincare brand Absolution.

Mama Shelter’s chairman, Serge Trigano, said, “When we visited Bahrain for the first time, we found men and women who were open to the cultures of other people and who were tremendously excited at the prospect of welcoming the MAMA experience to the city.”

CEO Jérémie Trigano added, “We also discovered a beautiful site in the city of Manama on the banks of the Arabian Gulf and a modern, forward-thinking partner, GFH properties, brought to us by the Accor team.

“The chemistry was there and we therefore decided to bring the MAMA magic to the country, with the hope of opening in 2020.”
