Bahrain to get first educational park in Isa Town

Schools will be able to rent out lecture halls for after-school study sessions

Bahrain to get first educational park in Isa Town

The Kingdom is set to open its first educational park in Isa Town to help children study after school.

The 16,293 sq m park is set to feature high-tech education centres and halls that will be leased out to schools and other institutions for lectures, workshops, and theatre production classes.

Entrepreneurs will also be able to rent the facilities for educational programmes and training to help them establish their own businesses.

Students can use the park after school has finished, and their parents will also be able to attend thanks to the family-orientated programme.

Typical subject such as maths and science will be covered, but there will also be specialised courses on offer including liberal arts, robotics, and special needs education.

Mayasem Holding will develop the park after signing a deal with Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company (Edamah).

No opening date has been set for the park, but we’ll keep you up to date with all the latest developments.

The news comes after MPs revealed plans to introduce an entrance fee at all of Bahrain’s public parks to pay for their upkeep.

MP Mohammed Buhmood has claimed that these spaces are “deserted” because of a lack of investment in entertainment, leisure and sports facilities, and that a small entrance fee of around 500 fils would face no objections.
