Take part in a Japanese doll making workshop this weekend

If your kids are into arts and crafts, or you just need something for them to do while you get your shopping done, take them to the Bahrain National Museum this Saturday (November 9).

The Kingdom’s largest museum is hosting a doll making workshop for children aged between eight and 15.

During the workshop, which kicks off at 11am, youngsters will learn about the culture of dolls in the Japanese civilisation, and how it connects to the daily life of those living in the Asian country.

They will get the chance to make dolls themselves using foam and other materials.

Saturday’s workshop coincides with the Japanese doll exhibition which is running at the Bahrain National Museum between October 13 and November 13.

You can register your children for the workshop, which costs BHD3, on the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities website here.
