Teachers in Bahrain to work from home

Teachers in Bahrain are set to work from home from today (Sunday March 5), the Ministry of Education has announced.

Only administrative and technical staff will continue to work in schools.

The Public and Media Relations Directorate said, “All teachers are required to continue assuming their duties and prepare lessons, enrichment material and discussion sessions online, in addition to assessing and mark students’ work and activities during the normal working hours.”

Schools, universities and other educational institutions in Bahrain are set to remain closed until further notice.

To help parents and teachers with home learning, the Ministry of Education has launched a number of new tools.

Plus, eight hours of lessons will be broadcast on Bahrain TV Channel 2 (sports channel) everyday.

If you’re looking for ways to keep the kids active while out of school, The Body Coach has launched daily PE lessons on YouTube.

And if you’re trying to find a way to explain the current health situation to your little ones, a book called Corona Virus: A curious guide for courageous kids is now free to download.
