Bahrain to establish new national kindergarten

Bahrain is set to establish a new national kindergarten for kids aged three to five.

The Young Jewels Kindergarten will follow the national curricula and primarily cater to Bahraini students.

The kindergarten will have to follow rules around fees approved by the ministry, and cannot increase or add extra fees without written approval.

It is the third national kindergarten approved by the Ministry of Education in recent months, following the Dr. May Bint Sulaiman Al Otaibi- Bayan Bahrain Kindergarten and the Al-Eshraq Kindergarten back in March.

The news comes after it was revealed most private schools across Bahrain have reduced or postponed fee payments to help parents affected by the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

Of 76 private schools in the Kingdom, 73 have agreed to make payment reductions or postponements.
