Bahrain schools will offer online learning as well as opening for physical lessons

Parents in Bahrain will be able to choose between sending their kids into school and continuing with online learning, it has been announced.

Schools are set to reopen in mid-September, having been closed since February as part of preventative measures to stop the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Teachers and other staff members are set to return to work from September 6, while students will return on September 16.

To help those who choose to continue with online learning, the Education Ministry and the Information Affairs Ministry have said they will carry on with broadcasting lessons on Bahrain TV Channel 2 (sports channel).

During the last academic year, the channel broadcast eight hours of educational content in both English and Arabic every day.
