Evolution Childcare CEO Sue Jones on finding the perfect nursery

How to pick a nursery in Bahrain

One of the hardest decisions you’ll make in your parenting career comes when you’re looking for the perfect nursery. At this time of year, learning institutions all over the country are opening their doors to parents for nursery tours and registration visits. “It is a proven fact that the human brain develops more in the first five years in a child’s life,” says Sue Jones, the founder and CEO of Evolution Childcare, formerly known as the Kids Academy Group. “It is crucial to make the right choice.”

As Evolution Childcare, which was brought to Bahrain by Abeer Rasti, gears up to open the doors to its own nursery in Saar, including those of its brand-new second branch located in Adliya, they’re looking to answer parents’ most pertinent questions, says Jones. “We relish parents who visit with a shopping list of questions,” she says. “Nurseries come with their own unique learning outcomes and objectives for children, so how do you unravel the curriculum and find the right one for you?”

Jones offers a few tips on what to consider. For instance, what qualifications do the staff have? Are they happy and engaged in their roles? Is the environment stimulating? Does it look fun? Can you see learning opportunities everywhere? Will your child be happy, make friends and be confident to have a go at everything?

It might be exhausting, but once you have the answers to your questions then your mind will be at ease. There are plenty of nurseries for you to choose from in Bahrain and Evolution Childcare is just one of them.
