Bahrain hands out 10,000 laptops to needy students

The laptops will be used for the new academic year

Laptops have been delivered to 10,000 students from needy families in Bahrain as part of the Feena Khair (there is good in us) charity campaign.

Kids from low-income families will use the laptops for the new academic year, which started virtually on October 11.

In-person teaching will recommence on October 24, but schools will continue to offer a mix of online and school-based teaching throughout the year.

The Royal Humanitarian Foundation has overseen the distribution of funds from the Feena Al Khair campaign, which was set up to help needy families during the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier this year, the fund was used to distribute around 100,000 meals a day.

Last year, the AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation handed out more than 150 laptops to needy students
