A fun afternoon/evening event, beach games and barbecue. Focussing on charitable water sports with a day of fun and competitions, there’ll be kite surfing, paddling and kayak races with an awards presentation at the end of the day.Bring your board, your kayak and your picnic or barbie and settle in for an afternoon of fun and getting to know the neighbours.

Ladies’ nights
This month sees the relaunch of the ever popular ladies’ nights at the Lost Paradise of Dilmun. It’s a chance for the girls to listen to some great music from female DJ Guitaroo with not a guy in sight. The lifeguards and, in fact, all the staff are female so it’s a great chance to chill out in privacy, there are also new activities including a fish spa for women. Entry is BD15 for guests over 1.2m and BD7 for those below.

Poetry festival
Second Circle Poetry group is hosting the Colours of Life Poetry Festival including both local and international offerings for one night only.
The largest poetry grouping in the kingdom with 44 members, of which approximately a quarter are Bahraini, Second Circle is also part of the Bahrain Writers Circle which hosts a further 126 members, collectively the largest writing group in the country and prospectively throughout the region. There are currently 15 poets from 10 countries involved expected to present 60 poems concentrating on a variety of life experiences. But if that sounds like a lot of verse, it’s only expected to last two hours.

Chinese cookery
Due to the public demand, the recently launched cooking classes with chef Cheng have been moved to every Friday morning so even those who work during the week will have a chance to take part. Registration is for BD8++per person per session and classes are progressional.
