Gulf Night Out
Tonight kicks off the first of the new season of the Gulf Hotel’s big pool party nights out. Running throughout the month, there are live cooking stations, entertainment and a really good atmosphere for a mid-week get together. Early bird tickets are BD17++ and it’s BD18++ on the night.

Fashion forward
As part of a fashion festival running until October 12, Moda Mall has a day of fashion shows today beginning at midday with the latest offerings from Valentino and running through to 9.30pm. Other designers featured include Dolce & Gabbana and Kenzo and there are lots of other things happening over the next ten days.

A taste of Cuba
Want to be able to hold your head high as you strut your stuff on the dance floor. Meses de Cubanos is bringing Cuban folklore to the dance floor with two full days of workshops from international instructors Alberto Valdes and Cuban native Yura Cantillo teaching salsa de caino, rumba, timba Cubano and more. There’s also a show and salsa party on Fri, October 4, with band Barba Rossa and DJ Arvin plus a closing party on Sat, October 5, at Mercure Grand Hotel, Seef.

Girls’ tee off
The latest series of ladies’ only golf lessons gets underway this week with classes at either 9am or 6pm and on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays – maximum four per class. The courses run for six weeks and are suitable for absolute beginners or those wanting to improve their game. Cost is BD135 for non-members.
