Cathay Pacific Airways has confirmed it is to launch direct flights from Bahrain to Hong Kong starting August 1 with three non-stop flights from Bahrain and a four non-stop weekly service on return.
Speaking to reporters, Daniel Cheung, country manager for Bahrain and Saudi Arabia said under the new arrangement the existing twice a week flight via Dubai will be discontinued – effective July 30.
”In addition, Cathay Pacific is adding two flights between Riyadh and Hong Kong, bringing our operations to a total of 35 flights per week in the Middle East region,” Cheung added.
Flight CX732 will fly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturday via Riyadh departing Bahrain at 9pm and arriving in Hong Kong at 01.15pm.
On return, flight CX743 will leave Hong Kong at 04.05pm on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays arriving in Bahrain at 10.40pm. An Airbus A330-300 will serve this non-stop route.
Flight CX742 will take off from Bahrain on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 11:50pm arriving Hong Kong non-stop at 01.15pm the next day.
