Calligraphy and frames
Saudi artist Khulood Al Gosaibi is showcasing works at The Art Centre that highlight forgotten styles of Arabic calligraphy, which are framed as hanging scrolls and decorative Oriental ornaments. Everything is up for sale and 30 percent goes to Rahma charity. Visit www.culture.gov.bh.

This monthly movie night sees Bahraini and regional short films screened in the directors’ presence at Alliance Française from 7pm. The Poppy Ball
Just in time for Remembrance Day on November 8, the BBBF (Bahrain British Business Forum) is hosting their annual Poppy Ball at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The welcome reception kicks off at 7pm, followed by a dinner buffet and then DJ entertainment through the night. It costs BD30 per person.
