The fashion-forward entrepreneur behind The Purple Bow Tie talks

What were you doing before this?
I was working in advertising and marketing, and, although I loved it, I knew I was missing a little part of the picture. To combine marketing and fashion is what I have always wanted to do. This was my calling.

How has your life changed since?

Being your own boss means the stakes are higher, and that all challenges that come your way must be met head on. My life has become more hectic and chaotic, with crazy working hours, yet so much more satisfying.

What’s most satisfying about your job?
As cliché as it may sound, seeing the results of the hard work of every team member.

Why would you advise someone to take the leap and follow their passion?

Time waits for no-one and, when life passes by, all you will be left with is regret. Why wait and wonder why you didn’t just do it? If you’re driven, one way or the other you will eventually get there.
