We're sure that everybody in Bahrain loves a long weekend as much as us.
Well, luckily for all of us, it looks like there are another couple on the way before the end of 2019.
First up, at the end of August, Muslims across the world will celebrate Islamic New Year, with the date set to fall on August 31 in the Kingdom, there's a chance Sunday September 1 might be a public holiday, giving everyone a three-day weekend.
Then, on the 9th and 10th day of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic calendar, Bahrainis are set to enjoy a four-day weekend due to Ashura. This year, the Ashura should fall on September 9 and 10.
Both Islamic New Year and Ashura are dependent on moon sightings in the Kingdom, but we’ll keep you up to date once the official dates are announced.
In November it is the birthday of Prophet Mohmamed (PBUH) on November 9 and Bahrain National Day follows on December 16.
As always, watch this space for more up-to-date news on the Kingdoms' public holidays.
