Entry to Golden Beach in Durrat Al Bahrain costs BHD5

Bahrain's first rock-free beach opens this weekend

Bahrain’s first rock-free beach is set to open this Saturday.

If you’re sick of hurting yourself by stepping on stones while going for a casual dip, head down to the Golden Beach in Durrat Al Bahrain this weekend.

Workers on Durrat Al Bahrain, a resort island city on the south coast of Bahrain, spent two years clearing the beach of impurities for the grand opening, reports Gulf Insider.

And this beach is set to be kid-friendly, with 96 inflatable games in the water to keep the little ones entertained.

If you’ve got your swimsuit and beach towels at the ready, don’t forget to bring cash – access to the beach is BHD5, and there are options to pay more for pool access too.
