Ma'ameer waterfront development nearly complete

The waterfront development along the Ma’ameer coast that is set to include games for children is nearly complete.

The 720m-long project, which will see the Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning add seats and sports activities for walkway visitors, is in its final stages.

Ministers are hoping planting trees and paving a service road for the coast with direction signs will make the spot more attractive to visitors.

It is part of a larger plan to create waterfront and greenery projects for the public across the Kingdom.

Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Eng. Essam Bin Abdulla Khalaf previously said of the development, “The ministry assures that this project extends for 720m, as long as the village’s front, as a recreational project, and at the same time it allows physical exercise with the walkway as well as other sports activities.”

The lighting provided along the walkway will be powered by solar energy.
