The fast lane on Zallaq Highway between Zaid Bin Omera Highway and the Gulf of Bahrain Highway will be closed for a month.
The Ministry of Works has said just one lane will be provided for eastbound traffic for one month from Saturday November 30.
Zallaq Highway improvement works have necessitated the closure, the ministry said.

The news comes after it was announced that one of the lanes on Budaiya Highway will be closed for three months while sewerage works take place.
From Saturday October 12, traffic will be diverted to surrounding roads while works take place on Jannusan Avenue.
Plus, two years of roadworks began on Shaikh Zayed Highway back in August, with plans to add an extra lane in each direction.
The works will increase capacity on the road to 80,000 vehicles a day.
