Bahrain asking for volunteers to help combat coronavirus

Bahrain is asking for volunteers to support the Kingdom’s efforts to combat the coronavirus (COVID-19).

The opportunities range from medical and administrative services to logistic support, and you can find a full list of help needed on the Bahrain volunteering website here.

You’ll need to fill in a form with your education level, profession, availability and what area you would like to volunteer in.

Those who are needed will be contacted shortly.

Writing about the volunteering opportunity on the website, the organisers said, “Join us in efforts to contain the Coronavirus (COVID-19) by volunteering through the many opportunities provided by the Kingdom’s Public Awareness Campaign to Combat COVID-19.

“The campaign has introduced a variety of activities and services to bring together citizens and residents in cooperation to ensure the Kingdom remains a safe and healthy community for all.”

In just one day, 12,700 people had already signed up to help.

The news comes after it was announced that Bahrain would be suspending all visas on arrival.
