Drive-through coronavirus testing centre opens at Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre

A drive-through coronavirus testing centre has opened at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The test takes just five minutes on average, and there are eight stations dedicated to taking medical samples from individuals. The centre will be open between 8am and 8pm everyday.

Your medical test results will then be available online via the Ministry of Health’s website.

Anyone who is self isolating will be able to book an appointment to get tested three days before their self-isolation period is over via the BeAware app.

Minister of Health, HE Faeqa Saeed Al-Saleh, opened the drive-through testing centre last week. He noted that the centre supports the goals of the Kingdom’s National Campaign to Combat the COVID-19.

Bahrain has been taking a number of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus in recent weeks.
Schools, universities and kindergartens have been closed until further notice, and restaurants are now takeaway or delivery only.

Cinemas, gyms and swimming pools have also been shut, while shops have reopened with strict regulations.
