Bahrain launches coronavirus chatbot on WhatsApp

Bahrain’s Ministry of Health has launched a chatbot on WhatsApp to give out coronavirus updates.

You’ll be able to access the latest news, a summary of cases, volunteer opportunities, and a link to download the BeAware app through the messaging service.

Answers will be available in Arabic and English, and for more advanced queries, you’ll be directed to online resources that can help.

You can use the chatbot at any time, and all you need to do to access it is send Hi to +973 3200 2001 on WhatsApp.

The Ministry said that the service will extend the reach of the national campaign to combat COVID-19 and enhance awareness.

Shops in Bahrain are set to reopen from this evening (May 7), while gyms, restaurants and salons will stay closed until further notice.
