Bahrain calls for COVID-19 vaccine clinical trial volunteers

Bahrain’s Ministry of Health has called for volunteers to take part in a COVID-19 clinical trial.

Up to 6,000 people, all over the age of 18, will help with the third phase of the trial which uses an inactivated virus.

You can sign up through the National Volunteer Platform.

Volunteers will have to undergo a health assessment before they can enlist for the trial, which has already been successful in China during the first two trial phases.

The vaccine uses an inactivated version of the virus which does not cause an infection, but triggers an immune response that produces antibodies to fight the virus. Doctors will be studying the effectiveness of the produced antibodies against the coronavirus.

You can volunteer by clicking here.
