Whenever there’s something new to try in Bahrain people will flock to it and before long it's all a bit "been there, done that".
But you definitely can't say the same for the latest fine-dining experience at The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain, which is only available to 16 people per night.
La Table Krug by Y serves an eight-course tasting menu - that's it, no additions, no extras, no choices. What the chef decides is what you'll get.
It's the first time the restaurant concept has come to the Middle East, and is only the fourth in the world after Vienna, Mexico City and Berlin.
Award-winning chef Chef Yann Bernard Lejard will be serving up dishes including foie gras and caviar, Bahraini vegetables with confit lobster and mango emulsion, and pasta cooked in a risotto style with coriander, truffle and quail.
It promises to offer “a unique dining experience for each guest that is never the same”, according to Lejard.
He adds: “The dishes will change daily based on my inspiration and feelings, and I will ensure a menu that is always daring, playful, unexpected, and most importantly, without limits.”
On top of the impressive menu, diners will also be treated to ambient music created just for La Table Krug to perfectly complement the entire experience.
Even the tableware is show stopping, with Christofle silver cutlery, Bernardaud Ecume plates, Reidel crystal glasses and Bahraini Nada pottery.
Book your table now, there might be a long wait.
