Six romantic restaurants in Bahrain
Re Asian cuisine

No matter who you are or how long you’ve been in a relationship for, you should always want to impress your other half.

Whether that’s with a bunch of flowers, a holiday abroad or a spa day, treating them is a top priority.

To make things easier, we’ve founded up six of the top romantic restaurants in Bahrain.

Even if you’re not planning on celebrating Valentine’s Day this year, you should be bookmarking this for later – and take another look for birthdays or anniversaries.

Greece is one of the most popular honeymoon destinations in the world, so they must be doing something right when it comes to romance. With a gorgeous rooftop terrace, delicious food and a long grape list, this spot is perfect for a romantic date night.
Sat-Wed 12.30pm-midnight; Thu-Fri 12.30pm-1am. Adliya (1771 7780).

Every girl dreams of being treated like a princess, and you can’t get much closer than dining at Keizo in Al Areen Palace and Spa. The outdoor terrace overlooks the water, and if you really feel like splashing out, you can rent out a private gazebo for your meal. The restaurant offers up Chinese, Thai and Japanese specialities, and we can’t think of anything more romantic than sharing some sushi.
Daily 6.30pm-11.45pm. Al Areen Palace and Spa, Hamad Town (1784 5000).

La Fontaine
A previous winner of Time Out Bahrain’s best romantic restaurant award, La Fontaine is a natural choice for anyone looking to impress their other half. The architecture of the 150-year-old building is breath taking, and the handmade fountain and all the foliage in the courtyard is a nice touch too.
Tue-Sun 11am-10.30pm. La Fontaine, Manama (1723 0123).

Mood lighting makes everything better, and Nirvana has this in spades. Head inside this Indian fine-dining restaurant and you’ll find carved wood interiors, cosy seating and plenty of red lighting. There are plenty of mixed drinks infused with Indian flavours for you to enjoy as well.
(1758 6499).

Re Asian cuisine
There’s nothing more romantic than looking at the twinkling lights of the city at night from above, and the Re Asian Cuisine on the 50th floor of the Four Seasons Bahrain Bay is a great place to do it. Feast on dishes like lobster or bao buns while sharing a bottle of grape or two.
Sat, Sun, Tue 7pm-11pm; Wed-Fri 7pm-11.30pm. Re Asian Cuisine, Four Seasons Bahrain Bay (1711 5046).

This spot at Sofitel Bahrain is perfect for watching the sunset while overlooking the water. Once night falls, the restaurant gets even prettier, and you won’t help but snapping pictures of the clear blue water and shining stars above.
Daily 11am-1am. Tapas, Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea and Spa (1763 6363).
