Big Texas Barbecue & Waffle House giving away soup to Bahrain’s needy

In times like this, it’s important we all help each other out - and the staff at Big Texas Barbecue & Waffle House are doing just that by providing soup for Bahrain’s needy.

Last week, the restaurant gave away 650 bowls of soup to people who have been laid off due to coronavirus (COVID-19), and now they’re hoping to give away even more.

The restaurant has teamed up with Cox Logistics SPC to provide the soup, while the Rashid Alzayani Foundation is helping deliver it to those in need.

If you’re a business owner who has had to lay off staff and know people who would enjoy these soups, you can call the restaurant on 1736 0063.

There are a number of initiatives at the moment that are trying to alleviate the financial strain of coronavirus on workers.

The Central Bank of Bahrain has postponed all credit card repayments, and the government will pay all residents’ electricity and water bills in April, May and June.

Batelco is also giving all of its customers unlimited internet usage to support those who are working from home.
