Now that we’re spending more time at home, we’re picking up all kinds of new hobbies and skills - including cooking.
But if you’re running out of recipe ideas, don’t worry, because The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain has launched a brand new weekly cooking series.
The #cookingseries101 will see the five-star hotel’s top chefs teach you how to make some of their favourite recipes.
First up is Chef I Made Suriana, who came over to Bahrain from Bali to run the Indonesian pop-up restaurant Nikmati.
He will show you how to make sate lilit ikan, or mixed tune and shrimp sate on lemongrass skewers, a typical example of Balinese street food.
If you’d like to follow along at home, you’ll need the following ingredients:
500g tuna, minced
100g shrimp, peeled and minced
125g seafood paste
1g lime leaf, chopped
10g red chili, chopped
10g coconut sugar
Salt and white pepper, to taste
