Al Shamiyat Café

An independent café bringing pavement culture to the mall

Time Out Says

This small café brings a pavement feel to Bahrain Mall, with its wicker chairs spilling out into the food court. If you’re looking for somewhere independent, as opposed to the ubiquitous chain restaurants usually found in malls, then Shamiyat serves up Arabic food and fresh juices that the health-conscious will love.

The homous drizzled with olive oil and garnished with cucumber is served with plenty of lemon to bring out the flavour of the chickpeas. The vine leaves come with a minty rice filling, and the bread is warm and moreish. Time Out recommends Shamiyat, with its personable service, delicious and well-priced Arabic food, and delightfully, individual decor.
