Coco's

Unpretentious café is popular with locals and expats

Time Out Says

Well known and loved by locals and expats alike, Coco’s is a hugely popular hangout at any time of day, and for good reason. The atmosphere is bright and warm, enticing you to hang around for hours (fortunately the staff are friendly, not frosty, and so don’t mind), and the food is fabulous. Feast on specialty sandwiches presented on chopping boards, hearty, wholesome salads (try the chicken and halloumi), pasta and more.

Just be sure to save room for one of the mind-blowing sweet crêpes, topped with vanilla ice cream – definitely worth ditching the diet for. You can eat in the Parisian-style interior or dine al fresco in the kooky courtyard; it’s also the spot to smoke some shisha. Essentially, Coco’s is an unpretentious café boasting bags of atmosphere that is worth remembering when you’re looking for a venue for a long, lingering lunch. There is no such thing as a quick bite here, for while staff are bright and chatty, service is slow.
