A new ladies’ night, sushi and sax night and more Downtown Rotana fun

4 things to do at the Downtown Rotana

The Downtown Rotana has revealed a new line up of promotions for outlets. With a new ladies night, sushi and sax promos and a brunch with an all-inclusive swimming pool deal there is lots to look forward to in the New Year.

Time Out Bahrain has four of the best deals to try this month.

Ladies’ night at Teatro: We’re impressed by a ladies’ night which offers free-flowing complimentary drinks for women any time but Teatro at the Downtown Rotana stands out for more reasons than a few free glasses of drink. For starters there is a chance of a special prize for the most stylish lady wearing red and live music from the resident saxophonist.
Teatro. Every Thursday, 7-10pm. Free. www.rotana.com (1311 9999).

Sushi and Sax Night: If you like the jazzy sounds of a honking saxophone and unlimited sushi you might need to sit down – we’re about to blow your mind. Tuesday nights at Teatro are Sushi and Sax sessions and that means a seemingly never-ending supply of sushi and maki plus, you guessed it, live sax music. Sounds amazing, huh?
Teatro. Every Tuesday, 6-10pm. BD15. www.rotana.com (1311 9999).

Friday brunch at Flavours on 2: Far be it from us to get involved, but we can’t help but notice the saxophonist crew are putting in some serious shifts at the Downtown Rotana. As are the chefs, now we come to think of it. Friday brunch has live cooking stations, mixed drinks, a convivial party atmosphere and yet more of that live saxophone music we’ve come to love. There is a well-equipped kids’ room and, best of all, free all day access to the hotel pool included in the price as well. We’re not sure if the saxophonist will be splashing around the pool area as well, but nothing would surprise us.
Fridays, noon-4pm. BD21-26 (adults). 50% off for kids aged 6-12, free (five and under).

Business lunch at Flavours on 2: There is no saxophone player at lunchtimes, but business types and bargain-hunters can seek out one of the best value deals we have seen in some time. Turn up between 12.30-3.30pm for a buffet brunch for less than BD10. That means live cooking stations, open-kitchen views and a brunch-style meal at discount prices.
Flavours on 2. Weekdays, 12.30-3.30pm. BD9.5. www.rotana.com (1311 9999).
