Just when you thought it was safe to relax on your gruelling January gym routine, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority has launched registration for the Bahrain Food Festival, which runs from Thursday February 25 to March 3, 4pm to midnight, at Adliya’s bustling restaurant district.
As part of an exciting year-long calendar of events marking Manama Gulf Capital of Tourism 2016, the culinary exhibition aims to showcase the Kingdom’s emergence as a genuine gastronomy destination.
Sheikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa, acting chief executive of BTEA, says, “The Bahrain Food Festival aims to encourage diversity, creativity and the unique multicultural nature of the Kingdom, while highlighting new and varied culinary concepts”.
This means there will be more than 30 shops and outlets selling local food and drinks, as well as other food-related businesses in nutrition or kitchen appliances.
Alongside all that, there is a schedule of live entertainment yet to be announced.
If you’d like to get involved as a vendor at the festival, then email firstname.lastname@example.org or call +973 17 558 864. Visit www.manamatourism2016.com for more information on Manama Gulf Capital of Tourism 2016.
