Bahrain Marathon Relay charity event coming this weekend

Thousands of runners will be taking part in a marathon relay race in Bahrain this Friday (November 15) to raise money for charity.

This year’s event will see 210 teams run 48 km across the Kingdom, starting and finishing at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir.

Kicking off at 9am, the route will be split into 16 sections of roughly 3 km each, with one runner from each team tackling a section before passing on their baton.

Registration for the event will finish on November 13, so if you want to get involved you’ll have to act fast.

Entry is BHD185 per team, and you can enter several divisions including mixed, men or women only, sport and social clubs or college teams.

The Bahrain Marathon Relay, which is organised by the Bahrain Round Table and Rotaract Bahrain, started up 38 years ago and has grown year on year.
