Five brilliant things to do in Bahrain this weekend
Cellar59

Itching to get out of the office and have some weekend fun? Well, we've got good news for you. Here are the top events for you to head to on September 13 and 14.

Friday 13 party
Cellar59 has decided that instead of cowering in fear of something going wrong on Friday 13 we should instead be throwing a party. Head here for a night of music from DJ Boudi and DJ Elena, performances from dancers and a magician.
Free. Fri Sep 13 9pm-2am. ART Rotana, Amwaj Islands (1600 0111).

Live music
There’s nothing better than heading down to a bar and listening to live music, and this weekend duo May & Paddy are headed to the Polo Gastropub. Expect the unexpected with this band whose style ranges from jazz and blues to soft rock and indie music.
Fri Sep 14 9.30pm-12.30am. Polo Gastropub, Road 382, Adliya (1772 5000).

Meaty brunch
Downtown Rotana has upgraded its brunch menu and made it meatier than ever. Guests can now enjoy cuts of beef, lamb and chicken cooked to your preferences, in addition to the Asian, Arabic and European dishes it usually puts on.
BHD22 (soft drinks), BHD33 (house beverages). Downtown Rotana, Government Avenue, Manama (1311 9999).

Outdoor spinning
Spinning classes will leave even the fittest among us dripping with sweat, but if you’re looking for a new challenge, head to the Four Seasons in Bahrain for a spot of al fresco exercise this Saturday. You’ll enjoy the views from the beach deck while burning off more than 500 calories.
BHD6 (spa members, in-house guests), BHD9 (outside guests). Sat Sep 14 9.30am-10.30am. Four Seasons Bahrain Bay (1711 5045).

Pool party
If the summer heat has been getting to you, Coral Bay is putting on the perfect event this weekend. Cool yourself down in the pool as you rock out to eight hours of non-stop music at a foam party. The best part? It’s free entry for all U.S. military personnel.
BHD5 (women), BHD10 (men). Fri Sep 13 1pm-9pm. Coral Bay, Road 2407, Manama (3695 0077).
