Bahrain's annual Sea Festival returns next month

Bahrain’s annual Sea Festival will be held on Marassi beach between Thursday November 7 and Saturday November 16, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has announced.

The festival, now in its fourth year, celebrates the Kingdom’s ties to the sea and hopes to educate expats and tourists on sea-related traditions and activities.

This year’s edition will include water sports activities, boat rides, traditional musical performances and handicrafts.

There will also be a museum, outdoor cinema and interactive play area for children, as well as an on-stage sea world performance.

According to the BTEA, the Sea Festival is in live with its overall strategy to develop and strengthen the tourism sector under the slogan “Ours. Yours”.

The BTEA said it “continues its efforts to showcase Bahrain as the ideal tourism destination for families which offers a unique experience to visitors of all ages”.

The news comes after the BTEA organised Bahrain’s International Music Festival, which runs from Until Saturday (October 26).

There are a number of events being held including a Fjiri music night and an orchestral performance.
