You can now eat pizza on a doughnut boat in Bahrain Bay

Have you ever been sat eating a pizza with a group of friends and thought to yourself “I wish I was on a doughnut boat right now”?

Us neither, but that’s exactly what you can now do in Bahrain Bay thanks to a new restaurant called Dough.

Setting sail from the South Wharf, you and up to seven friends can rent a doughnut boat for BHD19 per hour.

The boat trip comes with a licensed captain, meaning you can sit back and enjoy the views of some of the most iconic buildings in Manama’s skyline (we’re willing to bet it’s pretty Instagrammable too).

And if you’re feeling peckish, you can order food for the journey – but only if the dish involves dough (are you picking up on the theme yet?).

You can order freshly baked New York-style pizza, or baked doughnuts stuffed with ice cream.

“Our donut boats are the easiest way to hit the water and be at the center of it all,” Ajay Chouhan, operation manager at Dough Bahrain, says.

“The concept calls for fun times ahead in the middle of the most vibrant bay area - Bahrain Bay! It's a great way to get together for lunch, dinner with friends, with loved ones or a special occasion.”
BHD19 (per hour). Daily noon-11pm. Road 4608, South Wharf Bahrain Bay (3356 0367).
