Five fabulous events in Bahrain to head to this weekend

You’re never short of things to do in Bahrain at the weekend, whether you’re in the mood for brunch or working out.

This Friday (November 22) and Saturday (November 23) there’s a Christmas karaoke competition, a free yoga lesson, and a night-time photowalk around Muharraq.

Read on for five fabulous events to head to in Bahrain this weekend.

Bahrain’s only five-star boutique hotel recently launched a Friday brunch at its rooftop restaurant Indigo. We’ve already named the spot as one of the best places to Instagram in Bahrain, and you’ll be one of the first to give it a go. Expect dishes including poached eggs, sushi, and mini Yuzu cheesecake.
BHD28 (soft drinks), BHD38 (house beverages). Every Fri noon-3.30pm. Merchant House, Manama (1667 1000).

Christmas karaoke

If you know all the words to All I Want for Christmas Is You, and reckon you’ve got a cracking voice, head down to Txoko every Friday until December 20. The bar is hosting a karaoke competition, and three winner each winners will go through to the grand final on December 27, where you’ll be in with a chance of winning a stay at one of the hotel’s luxury suites.
Free entry. Every Fri 4.30pm-10pm. The Domain Hotel and Spa, Diplomatic Area (1600 0000).

Enjoy a British roast dinner

Missing home? Why not go for a British roast dinner at Harvesters Pub and Terrace. The three-course meal option launched last weekend and includes three house beverages for BHD25. Yum.
BHD18 (soft beverages), BHD25 (three house beverages). Sat, from noon. Crowne Plaza Bahrain (1753 1122).

Free yoga lesson
Qal’at Al Bahrain will be hosting two free yoga sessions over the next few weeks. After practicing your downward dog, you’ll be given a talk on chakras by Virginie Dreyer, the owner of jewellery store TinyOm.
Free. Fri Nov 22 and Fri Dec 6 10.30am-12.30pm. Bahrain Fort Site Museum, Manama (1756 7172).

Night-time photowalk
It can be extremely difficult to capture the beauty of an area at night, but luckily for you, a professional photographer will be hosting a free night-time walk around Muharraq showing you all the tricks of the trade. You’ll also get to experiment with light painting.
Free. Fri Nov 22 8pm-10pm. Bin Matar House, Muharraq (1732 2549).
