Five fantastic things to do this weekend in Bahrain

It’s nearly the end of November, meaning we are firmly in the festive season.

For the next four weeks, there’ll be Christmas party after Christmas party, with more tree lighting events and mince pies than you can handle.

But for now, there are still some non-Yuletide related events going on in Bahrain for the Grinches among you.

Stuff your face at a Thanksgiving brunch
While Thanksgiving is on Thursday November 28, there are still plenty of brunches going on across the Kingdom. You can enjoy turkey with all the trimmings at Big Texas Barbeque and Waffle House, Four Seasons Bahrain Bay or Brasserie Royale this weekend.

Celebrate McGettigan’s first birthday
If you’re in the mood for brunch, but not a turkey fan, why not head over to McGettigan’s in Adliya? This Irish pub is celebrating its first anniversary by adding an extra hour to brunch, and drunch after. Bargain.

Go to a rave at La Fontaine
Soundscapes is back with yet another night of electronic music at La Fontaine Centre for Contemporary Art this Friday. There’ll be a solid 11 hours of tracks from artists including Desolat label co-owner Martin Buttrich and Watergate resident Matthias Meyer.
