Bahrain's Water Garden City to host Revive festival

If you thought the onslaught of events would finally come to an end after Christmas, think again – a huge 10-day festival is coming to Water Garden City at the end of the month.

Revive Festival, which will run from December 26 until January 4, 2020, will see more than 200 young Bahraini business owners running retail stalls and food and beverage outlets.

The event, which is designed to be eco-friendly, will feature a farmer’s market with plenty of fruit and vegetables and plants to encourage visitors to buy local.

You’ll also be encouraged to recycle on site, with a number of recycling workshops, and many of the vendors will be selling products made from recycled materials.

Even the structure of the festival self is eco-friendly, having been made using recyclable and reusable material such as upcycled wood and steel, and the electricity will partially come from solar energy.

Aside from all the cool stalls you can check out, there’ll also be live music and DJs to keep you entertained, plus activities aimed at kids.

You’ll get the chance to take part in e-sport tournaments, cosplay competitions and raffle draws, so you could be walking away with big prizes, too.

Artist Mustafa Halwachi, alongside a team of other local painters, will be creating massive murals and hosting art workshops.

There’s so much going on that you won’t want to miss it.

Tickets start from BHD2 for one entry, and you can buy day or weekend passes here.
From BHD2 (one entry). Thu Dec 26-Sat Jan 4 4pm-midnight. Water Garden City, Seef (6660 5657).
