Photography competition with BHD500 prize launched

Budding photographer? Want to win BHD500? Bahraini citizen or resident? Then we’ve got the competition for you.

A brand new contest, just launched by the executive office of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism, is calling for submissions until February 8.

The organisation wants photos and videos that express the value of Bahraini citizenship, and can be submitted under several categories including belonging, loyalty, pride, freedom, diversity and solidarity. Alongside the picture, you must explain its national value.

You can submit up to 18 photos or videos, and if you retouch anything, you must also submit the original snap.

It doesn’t matter if you’re professional or amateur, using the latest DSLR or just your phone – all entries are welcome.

You have until midnight on February 8 to email your submission, alongside your name, CPR number, phone number, a link to your social media accounts and a brief description of the national value the photographs or video represent.

You can find full details about the competition on the Bahrainouna website here.
