And now you can do exactly that with the Pearling Path food tour which is taking place this Saturday (February 8).
There you’ll learn all about the most prominent foods eaten around the old neighbourhoods in the area.
You’ll need to register for the event, which costs BHD5, on the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities website here.
The event is part of Food is Culture. Food is Culture sees five pairs of chefs and artists collaborate to create a product in a range of mediums, whether that is a painting, installation, cake, drink or video.
Don't manage to get a spot? There are plenty of options for food tours in Bahrain, and we've rounded up the best guided tours here.
BHD5. Sat Feb 8 9.30am onwards. Pearling Path Visitors Centre, Muharraq (no number).
